Peter Korling
We are proud to announce the discovery and exclusive representation of the paintings of American artist Peter Korling.
Born in Chicago in 1936, Peter Korling quickly became fascinated with art. At a surprisingly young age, he spent his days drawing and sketching trees and cars. When his father traveled to the city for work, he would tag along and sneak over to the train station to sketch the steam engines in elaborate detail.
After studying at The Art Institute of Chicago and The Art Students League in New York, Peter left the United States. His love of Mexican art motivated him to live and paint in Mexico City. After many years of collective exhibitions in Mexico City, New York City and San Francisco, he eventually settled in Los Angeles to raise his family, where he lived and exhibited for many decades.
