Robert Mcintosh

1916 Born in Vallejo , California. At the age of ten, McIntosh was already sketching and drawing regularly.

1932 - 1933 First public exhibitions of original drawings at Haggin Museum in Stockton , California .

1934 Life drawing and painting at California School of Fine Arts, San Francisco, California.

1934 - 1937 Received first Scholarship ever awarded at Art Center School , Los Angeles , California. Robert McIntosh Studied under Stanley Reckless and Barse Miller.

1937 Began portrait commissions through agent Ernst Von Harringa. Exhibitions at the San Francisco Museum of Art, Oakland Museum of Art, and Crocker Museum of Art in Sacramento , California. Due to the Depression, most people were unable to afford such luxuries and so Mc Intosh began work at Disney Studios painting backgrounds (oil on glass in classic realistic style) for “Pinocchio”, “Fantasia” and numerous other films.

1942 Drafted and assigned to Jack Warner's first Motion Picture Unit for the Air Force at Hal Roach Studios.

1940's - 1950 The beginning of experimentations in Cubism and Expressionism . Annual exhibitions at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Purchase prize and first prize watercolor, Los Angeles County Museum Art, 1948.

1960's Ventures into Abstraction and Collage.

1960 - 2007 Continuing work in all mediums, Realism to Abstractions and impressions of his travels through out the world.

2007 - Robert McIntosh introduced to Trigg Ison. Trigg Ison Fine Art exclusively represents the original paintings of Robert McIntosh.
